13 Have Spoken

Because Nothing Says “BUY THIS!” Like An Exposed Ribcage

Posted by Ross Rosenberg

A promotional piece for Samsung’s new NV24 HD camera. The clip, featuring a safari, yawning lions, “Banana Boat Song”, and some questionable computer animation, teeters precariously on the edge of absurd and insipid just before losing its balance and plummeting into the abyss when the half eaten corpse of an antelope rises briefly from the dead to sing a verse and, perhaps, jiggle its entrails.

Your guess is as good as mine.

13 COMMENTS ARE NOT ENOUGH

Yet another thing to add to my pile of impulse buys just because I can not resist a sales pitch from the reanimated dead.

Very entertaining, and confusing. But, I must say, this would be better if the lions were crowded around the antelope feasting then broke into song. The antelope would then stand up, gore smothered, rapping about the circle of life. The scene is too clean for my tastes.

And there goes one minute and ninteen seconds of my life, most of it staring at the screen and asking myself, “who comes up with this stuff?”

I want to work in advertising. They obviously let you take loads of drugs, then turn your drug fueled nonsense into short films. How cool is that as a job?

    Zombie Antelope Rapper FTW.

@cha0tic : Sure. At the price of your soul….

Anyways, delicious off-color advertising. Om nom nom nom

To have the lions’ rendition of “Day-O” supplanted by whatever dancehall reggae track the antelope starts singing and then to have the whole oasis spontaneously break into song is nothing less than genius.

    Bra-vo, Samsung. Bra-vo.

Man oh man, that’s wrong on so many levels.

god, I am starting the day with a bright spot. I don’t want to think about how shitty my day would have been if it hadn’t started with a dancing antelope corpse…Thank you, from the bottom of my giggling exposed lion-gnawed heart.

I want to meet the person that pitched this to management. And then I want to raid his medicine cabinet.

Great. More fuel for my nightmares. Thank you very much.

Just sent this link to a mate of mine (still hungover from last night’s wedding party) while he was eating. Love the vid, it makes for a great ambush:)
