The Umbrella Cap

If you find umbrellas unwieldy and raincoats to be not quite absurd looking enough, then you may be interested in the UFO Cap, a combination of the two from Korean manufacturer Koryo Industrial. All I can think of when I look at this device — seemingly designed to make the wearer’s head and shoulders resemble a large, yellow, rain repellent nipple — is the image of Korean school children being blown down the street, their serving tray sized neck accessories turned into sails by the wind.

i don’t know whats weirder, the actual object itself, or those evil little wads of ABC gum with their evil, knowing smiles…

“soon, my sweet, soon all of humanity will be within our grasp…”

But…you would still get rain right in your face? That’s stupid. On top of that you can’t see where the hell you’re walking, kids would be tripping over themselves in the rain, getting water in their eyes and stumbling into traffic getting hit by speeding cars. This device would destroy nations!

it makes me want to throw the child like a frisbee.

My first reaction is… How does the child get it off? The child’s limbs are clearly not long enough to reach up and around to unfasten any buttons or zippers.

What a simple, innovative design. They only need to make sure that these cap brollies are portable in some way, to the extent that I could fold one and carry in my backpack, and I’m sure we’ll all be lining up to buy them!
