Ectomorph Hypothetical: Corsetattoo

I have no bodily modifications myself, and yet I am obsessed with the idea of modification. While I despise the majority of tattoos I see (slapped half-assed onto bodyparts that are not flattered by them), a few are so beautiful that they stun me. And every time I see a good one, the possibility of molding my own flesh seems far more interesting.

What stops me from altering myself is that every mod I see is already on someone else. Pre-existing mods are automatically disqualified from further consideration. I would have to come up with something totally unique, and completely reversible, before I made any sort of personal alterations.

But I have ideas for other people’s bodies all the time. Which brings us to the top of this post. The photo above has been ’shopped to demonstrate my latest idea: a full-torso corset pattern tattoo. I used a vintage nude as my base of operations because you can’t sue me for stealing your naked photos if you’re dead, grandma.

God help anyone who got this tattoo, and then got fat.

And while I did some initial research on this scheme, I found a similar idea already in full swing over at ModBlog: a corset-piercing tattoo, which probably qualifies for the title of “meta-mod”.

Hit the jump for an unedited, totally NWS, full-frontal-lewdity version.

10 COMMENTS ARE NOT ENOUGH

Ahaha, I had no jump, so I was most confused that it was there twice.

That looks so odd. Very cool.

You should start talking to some tattoo artists. Some of the best stuff comes from providing a good artist with the right canvas. I’m sure you could get many different takes on the same concept just by going around and having different tattoo artists draw it up.

    That RULES!

Bicycle pants that you can never ever take off.

    #1 Non-permanent tattoos = Henna

#2 Something drawn with lines like this is always far more interesting than crappy japanese kanji, rockabilly sleeves or the worst; celtic wire wraps.

#3 For the cyberpunk fashionista, might I suggest Major Motoko cyborg circuitry design, perhaps penned in a mannequin-like pattern, or squid-like tendrils.

Is that bush part of the tattoo?

    Intriguing.

Always a fan of those peaking, partially covered tats - promising who knows what beyond the borders of proper attire. Though the cut would have to venture a bit south for this one.

I think many can relate to the potential abject horror and shame of coming across another with the same mod, especially with tattoos. Not considering, of course, those of appropriate cultural bearing.

Always a tricky topic, surely two passing strangers both bearing full-backs of inked hyrulian shields would be drawn not apart but towards each other.

Not my preference, but more power to ‘em.

    That be very cool.

I have similar feelings about mods - none yet, but so many tempt me with their beauty!

I really love the corset piercing tat you linked to. Corset piercings amaze me, but I’d be unwilling to go that far - a tattoo of one I could handle.

I share your sentiment in regards to body mods. This is really cool though - would it continue on the back? I’d love to try this with henna or something, and then go to the beach in a bikini.
