To those of you with the aforementioned irrational fear of clowns I apologize; know that you were considered, even if only briefly, before the posting of this unsettlingly realistic take on the greasepaint clad stars of your strange nightmares. But to abstain from shining a spotlight on the wonderfully deranged vision of Chris Mars simply wouldn’t do. Rest assured that the focus of his work is not the denizens of a sad circus in disarray, and that your subsequent clicking of links will result not in horror but macabre wonderment.

Man, the internet really is a small world after all. I happened to stumble onto Chris Mars’ website over the weekend through another artist’s website and I was absolutely floored.
Be sure to read the “STATEMENT” section of his site as it’ll really put some things into perspective when viewing his work.

Been a big fan of Chris’ since he was in the Replacements.

I once ate mushrooms over Thanksgiving. Not the wisest choice I ever made. This reminded me of what my grandmother looked like at sitting at the end of the table that year. *shudders*

After reading the statement on his website i found all his work to have a kind of beauty to it.
