Your Erratic WTF: Furry McNinja
Posted by Ross Rosenberg
This clip has all the trademarks of a sequence that, even if it were to be viewed in its proper context, would still make absolutely no sense. Inexplicable bikini-clad girl dancing by the side of the road? Check. Ninja, complete with katana and badly animated leaping effects? Check. Person in a bear suit with a shotgun? Check.
Seriously, what just happened?

I’m just amused that it was all dubbed in French….

I think I’ve seen that movie. As I recall, it was all pretty inexplicable. The last second of that clip makes it all worth-while.

Not to detract from the WTF-osity of this clip, but it’s from a Thai movie called SARS Wars. Check it out - it’s pretty hilarious, and this scene isn’t the weirdest in the movie by far.

The thing that elevates this to greatness is the half-assed bit of gun-kata between the girls at the end.

It is my wish to one day assemble the criminal dream team of superball ninja, middle-aged kindergarten teacher, Hamburgler, man in bear suit, and transvestite bikini babe.
Thanks, Thai Frenchmen!

This is incredibly weird, I just watched that movie a week ago, after picking it up from a bootleg…I mean independent video store at a convention in Indianapolis.
Think Kung Fu Hustle mixed with Resident Evil.

This syncs up really nicely with the They Might Be Giants song posted later. Am I awake indeed.
