I think I remember seeing this before, as well, and it has haunted me since, wondering whether it was a dream, or a nightmare. It takes the ‘remove Garfield’s thought clouds’ trend even further, like Daniil Kharms meets Samuel Beckett meets webforum photoshopping. The uncanny, creepy incarnation of a real cat in this 2D world combined with the abyssal projection and reflection of Jon’s lonely existence. Terrifying.

I love how Garfield, the single dullest comic strip in existence, has become the target of choice for every surrealist on the internet with access to photoshop. It’s like seeing Dali take a pair of scissors to Normal Rockwell.

I’ve seen several more like this floating around Fark a while back.
The one’s that are truly funny are where they’ve removed all of Garfield’s thought bubbles. So you see the world as Jon really does.
As a result, you know that Jon is a very very lonely and sick individual.
