    Yes, his heated discussions with Doctor Sperm Whale are really quite something. Often they will both dive to the bottom of the soup tureen and do battle in the depths of the Leek And Potato Trench…

    Love this picture, what with his starched collar, pince-nez, and whip draped artfully over his shoulder. I can imagine sitting opposite him on a train, a copy of the London Times open at his lap, (the original broad-sheet, that is, not the tabloid size they give you nowadays).
