They Don’t Stop

30 minute exposure of a Roomba’s cleaning path.
And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until your floor is clean. [Restraint.org]

Lovely, it looks like the particle trails in a cloud chamber :D

It is the indecipherable hieroglyphics of the beings from the 12th dimension warning of our impending doom from their escaped swine-like flu virus. ( they have been influencing roombas for years!)

@BobDog: Yeah, and woe to any fool who says “it’s just a cleaning droid…”

It’s beautiful.
I feel like I’m looking into a star-system.
I want to fall in.

Gasp…that’s really really pretty, in a swirly exposed Roomba sort of way!

Why do I suddenly want to turn off the lights and listen to VNV Nation?

I’m confused… there is no sign of the actual roomba in this exposure. Did they strap an LED to its top and then photoshop the greyish blur out later?
Maybe I don’t know how roombas work.

@Kingfisher – no photoshop necessary. If you leave the shutter open for 30 minutes, you will only see the stationary objects and the moving lights. i.e. look at night photography of highways – all you see are th red and white lights from the cars’ headlights and brakes.

…or if you’re really patient, go for 6 months’ exposure:
