ectocache For 05.16.2008: We’ve Got Your Octo-Dog, Riiiight Here

BLU’s Muto: animation on a public wall. Beautiful surely, but I couldn’t help but think about all the artwork he covered up to make it (I know, it’s a public wall, it comes with the territory.) Thanks to Ry-Tron and everyone else who sent this in!
The Octo-Dog Frankfurter Converter. It turns your hot-dogs into octopuses. The Ectomo hive-mind cries out in ecstasy for such a device.
From the artist who brought you Elder Clean Soap comes Shoggoth Jasmine Tea. Thanks, Jezcabelle!
Don’t you fucking dare post knitting patterns for Dr. Who characters. So sayeth the BBC, though most likely it was worded in a far more politely threatening manner filled with words contain superfluous “u”s. Thanks, August Moon!
Alas, poor Yorick. Thanks, Tim McElwee!
Inky hard at work. Or is he? Alt+Tab Command+Tab, Inky, COMMAND+TAB! Thanks, Scott!
A huge photo collection of miniature junk-bots. Thanks, Bela!

Now that I think of it, I think I remember Ellen Million from the old days of wasting my time on Elfwood.

Those octodogs sure are unappetizing looking.

Street art is by its very nature ephemeral. Besides, it was mostly just tags and throw-ups they went over.

@ Mike: That’s cause you arent 7-14 years old. Being that age at heart, I’m sure that they actually TASTE BETTER THAN NORMAL HOT DOGS!!

Once I dig up my old Doctor Who sewing projects book (such was my 10-year old self’s desire for a fourth Doctor scarf, I threatened to make my own), I’m launching it directly at the heart of the internet. Adric shirts and plush Axons for all!

This is a friend of a friend thing, and I can’t say either way what happened with that particular work by Muto, but apparently for his next piece he’s recieved permission form all the graf artists in question to paint over their work.

apparently he got permission from the other artists for his last piece of work in Malta too

Scott – That’s great to hear. He is obviously a class act. I like this piece even more now, knowing that!
