Brazilian Ads To Women: Yes. Yes It Indeed Does Make You Look Fat, Fatty.
Posted by Ross Rosenberg
This ad campaign for Fit Light Yogurt, currently running in Brazil, features famously erotic scenes depicted with a woman who is overweight; in this case the dream scene from American Beauty. Others include the interrogation scene from Basic Instinct and the iconic image of Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch. The tag-line at the bottom reads: “Forget about it. Men’s preference will never change. Fit Light Yogurt.” It certainly lacks some degree of subtlety, doesn’t it?

So why is it I think this one is pretty attractive?
Comment by Unterfuß — April 29, 2008 @ 12:46 pm
Nope, sorry. That is not overweight, that’s just cute. Overweight would be the inability to see her pubes due to fat rolls in her lap, even while on her back….
Comment by James Shearhart — April 29, 2008 @ 12:55 pm
So she’s no Kate Moss, but how’s that a bad thing? If Brazil’s full of chicks who look like that and think they can’t get any action because of it, I’m booking my flight right now.

While 90% of the internet would be yelling “EW SHE’S A COW,” I think that model is dead sexy. In fact, someone 30 pounds lighter would still be a “cow” to most internitwits. Bloody ridiculous. These ads are hot but horrible. BAN THIS SICK FILTH!
Comment by Sharpless — April 29, 2008 @ 1:41 pm
I think she is gorgeous and although i am a woman, i think many men would agree. Voluptuous and proud of it?
One can be large and fit or thin and out of shape, we all have our own shape. I want to see the rest of these ads……

Oh Yummy!
I myself would prefer to see more real women as models. The standard models we see used in ads today are , for me, simply not that attractive usually. Where can I see the rest of these ads?

Awfully weird standards these fictional “men” must have if that woman isn’t considered hot as all fuck.
I don’t even really swing that way, but I’d hit it!
Comment by Giania — April 29, 2008 @ 2:53 pm
Actually? Every time I’ve seen this specific ad posted anywhere, it’s ALWAYS followed by page after page about how cute/hot she is.
Comment by DC — April 29, 2008 @ 2:59 pm
Same as all the above here. I think she is hot.
Comment by cleve — April 29, 2008 @ 3:26 pm
Yeah, but her arms are kind of scary.
Comment by eltiburo — April 29, 2008 @ 3:51 pm
I was going to say the model in that ad looks pretty hot, regardless (or maybe because of) her figure… but nine other people beat me to it
Comment by rma — April 29, 2008 @ 3:54 pm
Dido: she’s hot!
Comment by Hypersky — April 29, 2008 @ 4:32 pm
Woah… I just saw the other pics… ok, the other two women are NOT hot AT ALL! ugh, they get their point across… but that American Beauty chic? Too hot to make their point.
Comment by Hypersky — April 29, 2008 @ 4:45 pm
The women in the other ads are on the large side, but the one in the pic above? She’s not bad at all! I’d hit it and no mistake!
That’s just a little cushion for the pushin’. ;)
Comment by Oni — April 29, 2008 @ 6:02 pm
yep.
HOT.
And if the rest of you guys out there think only skinny women are attractive, let me just say – thank you! That means that delicious women like the one above are there for me. I appreciate it.
Comment by Elmo — April 29, 2008 @ 6:08 pm
i think she is kinda hot

This ads are not actually real, although they were made by an ad agency (I think it’s called “ghost ads” but I’m not sure). This link [http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.itambe.com.br%2FCmi%2FPagina.aspx%3F1656&langpair=pt%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF8] is for the google translation of the company’s response to the ads.
That said, it’s a very stupid concept for a “light” wossname. I, for one, would boycott something with a campaign such as this.
Also, brazilian ads are usually better, unless they’re for beer (beer ads suck).
Comment by Saoki — April 29, 2008 @ 7:04 pm
The layout seems to have eaten the link, but just copy/paste it and it should work.
Comment by Saoki — April 29, 2008 @ 7:05 pm
Her arms look kinda weirdly short, but I’m willing to attribute that to odd photography more than anything else. +1 hot, would salivate over again.
Besides, isn’t there a burgeoning (if you’ll forgive the term) fetish porn business for overweight ladies? I don’t think being overweight is going to get in the way of gettin’ busy unless you are literally unable to move.
Comment by CJ — April 29, 2008 @ 7:17 pm
As noted, she has Cabbage Patch Kid arms.
But yes, hot. I wonder if these women knew what the gist of these ads would be

Rubenesque Lady in rose petals! What’s not to like?
Comment by Bobdog — April 29, 2008 @ 8:08 pm
she can man my harpoon if you know what i mean

Skinny chicks snap like twigs. Luscious ladies like these are made for love. You can cuddle that coquette all night and not bruise anything at all, you don’t need to leave the lights on to keep a grip and to cap it all of she’s just hothothot like a tamale. And there’s not a “niche” porn developing featuring girls like this – the oldest porn featured hearty lasses like the angel above. The pathalogical worship of skinny is a very new thing that came about roughly with Twiggy in the 60s. Even flappers were expected to have a little ‘cushion for the pushin’.
I swing that way. I’d happily seduce her with vigour. So, when’s this mass Ectomo migration to the voluptuous shores of Brazil? I’m in.
Comment by Jilder — April 29, 2008 @ 11:40 pm
I’d hit it.
Comment by Kingfisher — April 30, 2008 @ 12:04 am
shes hot i am envious of her.
there is something off with her arms but i think its the photoshopping and the rose petal placement that might make it look odd
Comment by Laighid — April 30, 2008 @ 1:07 am
Hot chick? Score.
Tyrannosaur arms? Bonus.
Comment by davelog — April 30, 2008 @ 1:51 am
The current mentality of skinny=pretty is an extremely modern concept. It, and most other modern perceptions must be eliminated.
