Here There Be Regularity.

Have you seen Bradbury lately? Looks like he could use regularity more than ever. Perhaps constipation is why I don’t recall seeing anything new out of him in decades, and why he wants us now to believe Fahrenheit 451 is not so much a nuanced anti-censorship parable as it is a hamfisted anti-TV screed.

That’s alright, as prune commercials go. It’s a little odd seeing a scifi author endorsing anything.

Ironicly, he did publicly endorse George W. Bush and the War on Terror in 2001.

Leo: so did I, if that bugs you!

You guys are too young to remember Stan Freeberg, but he was the pied piper of the generation that grew up in the 50s. Almost the ONLY voice of rejection of the status quo and Corporate Normalcy at the time. As for Bradbury, he is a great writer (read October Country), but hardly a realistic thinker. And as for you, Brownlee, get your rifle and helmet; you’re drafted.
