In sheer defiance of the World Wide Web Consortium's will, Ectomo was designed using a non-web-standard font. Luckily, it is included in the excellent font pack released by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, which can be freely downloaded in Mac and PC formats here. Ectomo should still look fine without it, though.
Let’s avoid the obvious jokes and note that in between the ice storm, the obliteration by tornado of Greensburg, the Coffeyville refinery disaster, the solvent plant explosion in Valley Center, and the murder-suicide that happened less than a mile away from my apartment last week, the gods probably do hate Kansas.

Great flashback! When I was a kid I read this book – and loved it!
No, I’m not that old, but my grandfather’s attic was full of these old paperbacks.
No I’m off on a quest to find this title so I can re-read it…
